When boards are too damaged to sand out — black water stains, cupping, deep gouges — we cut them out cleanly and weave new boards in. Done right, the patch disappears completely.
Matching old hardwood is half art, half woodworking. We hold a stock of common species and stains, and can custom-mill or hand-stain to match nearly any existing floor.

Squeaks & Gaps
Quiet floors,
tight seams.
Squeaks usually come from boards rubbing against fasteners or each other. We diagnose from above (or below, if there’s access) and stop them with screws, glue, or shims as appropriate.
Gaps in winter are normal. Gaps that stay year-round are a humidity or installation issue. We fix them with color-matched fillers or, in severe cases, partial board replacement.
