Solid Hardwood
Built from a
single board.
Solid hardwood is milled from a single piece of timber, typically 3/4″ thick. It can be sanded and refinished many times over its life, which is why heritage homes still have their original floors a hundred years later.
We install solid hardwood nail-down over plywood subfloor, almost always above grade. Every board acclimates in your home before we install, we don’t skip it.

Engineered Hardwood
Real wood,
every subfloor.
Engineered hardwood is a genuine hardwood wear layer over a multi-ply or birch core. Same look, same finish, but dimensionally stable enough to install over concrete, with radiant heat, or below grade.
We install engineered hardwood floating, glue-down, or nail-down depending on your subfloor. Most projects use glue-down for a solid feel underfoot.

How a project actually goes.
In-home estimate
We come measure, look at the subfloor, discuss species and finishes, and put numbers on paper.
Acclimation & prep
Boards acclimate in your home before install. We level the subfloor, install moisture barriers, and prep transitions.
Installation
How long it takes depends on the size of the floor, the subfloor, and the layout. We protect your home, run dust-containment, and clean up daily.
Finish & walkthrough
For unfinished floors, sanding and finishing follows. Final walkthrough, you sign off when you’re happy.
