Beverly Hills
We supply and install hardwood flooring in Beverly Hills, in oak, walnut, and hickory, plain or patterned. Refinishing, repair, recoating, and hardwood stairs as well. Free samples by mail, or large boards brought to the house.

Our Range
The species and widths we carry.
Four woods, every width from narrow strip to wide plank, and pattern in both constructions.
White oak takes stain evenly and has a calmer grain. Red oak is pinker and more strongly grained, and it is what many older floors here already are. Walnut is darker with more figure, and hickory carries strong color variation board to board. All four come in solid form for nail-down installation over a wood subfloor and engineered form for slabs and radiant heat.
- White oak, red oak, walnut, and hickory
- Strip, plank, and wide-plank widths
- Herringbone, chevron, and parquet, in solid and engineered
- Luxury vinyl and laminate, for baths, laundries, and rentals
All four species can be sampled first, small samples free by mail and large sample boards brought out to the house.
Installation
Custom hardwood flooring installation in Beverly Hills.
Nail-down, bonded, or floated, plus the pattern work that goes with it.
Herringbone is rectangular boards set at a right angle to each other, so the ends step. Chevron is boards cut on an angle at both ends and butted point to point, so the zigzag closes into a continuous V. Both are set from a planned starting line, and where a subfloor needs grinding or filling to bring it flat, that is part of what we quote. Delivery, removal and haul-away of the old floor, underlayment, transitions, and trim are quoted with the wood.
Finishes
The finishes we offer.
Prefinished, site-finished, and a custom color if you want one.
Prefinished boards arrive with their coats already cured, with a micro-bevel at every edge that gives the floor a board-by-board read. Site-finished floors are laid raw and stained and coated in the house, which leaves a continuous surface with no bevel lines and allows a color mixed to your sample. Surface finishes come in matte through satin, and hardwax oil is available where you want a low, natural surface that can be spot repaired in place.
For site-finished work we prepare stain drawdowns on the same wood your floor will be made from, so the color is approved on the material it will live on.
Existing Floors
Refinishing, repair, and recoating.
Including the patterned and bordered floors in the older houses.
Full sanding takes a floor to bare wood and rebuilds the finish. Screening and recoating refreshes a worn finish without going to bare wood. Individual boards are replaced and matched on species, grade, and grain, then stained to close what is left. Patterned and bordered work is repaired and refinished rather than replaced, and it is measured on its own because it is slower and more exacting than a plain field.
Stairs
Hardwood stairs, nosings, treads, and risers.
Treads, risers, and nosings cut to match the floor, in plain or patterned wood.
We install hardwood nosings, treads, and risers, cut to match the floor in species, stain, and sheen so the two read as one surface, or contrasted where the stair should stand on its own. Carpeted stairs can be converted to wood, and stairs are measured on the same visit as the floors. More on our stair work.
Samples
Samples, and stain approved on your wood.
A stain reads differently on every species and every cut.
Small samples ship to your door free, and large sample boards come out to the house, several at a time, and stay with you. Seeing a full board matters most with a wide plank, where grain becomes the dominant pattern in the room rather than a texture. The full range is in the showroom.

FAQ
Questions from Beverly Hills homeowners
What we get asked most before a job here.
Do you supply the flooring or only install it?
Both. We supply it, deliver it, and install it, and the written estimate covers the wood and the work as separate lines.
What is the difference between herringbone and chevron?
Herringbone is rectangular boards meeting at a right angle, so the ends step. Chevron is boards cut on an angle and butted point to point, so the zigzag closes into a continuous V. Chevron is ordered as precut material.
Can you match a specific stain color?
Yes, with a site-finished floor. The stain is mixed and drawn down on the same wood your floor will be made from, for your approval before the floor is ordered.
Can a patterned floor go over a slab?
Yes, in engineered form, bonded or floated. Where the slab needs grinding or filling to bring it flat, that is part of what we quote.
Can hardwood go over radiant heat?
Engineered hardwood can, within the temperature limits the manufacturer sets. Solid hardwood is not the right choice over radiant heat, because it moves too much with the temperature swing.
