Calabasas
We supply and install hardwood flooring in Calabasas, over slab and over wood subfloors. Refinishing, repair, recoating, and hardwood stairs as well. Ask for free samples by mail, or large boards brought to the house.

Our Range
The hardwood we carry.
Wide plank is what we are asked for most here, and we stock it deeply.
Oak in strip through wide plank, plus walnut, hickory, and maple, in solid form for nail-down installation over a wood subfloor and engineered form for slabs, upper floors, and radiant heat. Long-length boards and character grades are available where an open plan calls for a calmer or a busier floor, and herringbone and chevron can be ordered in either construction.
- Engineered hardwood, bonded or floated over a slab
- Solid hardwood, for wood subfloors above grade
- Luxury vinyl and laminate, for baths, laundries, and rentals

Installation
Slab-ready hardwood flooring installation in Calabasas.
A great deal of the housing here sits on slab, and we install for it two ways.
Bonded means engineered wood set into a troweled adhesive across the slab. Floating means the boards lock to each other over an underlayment and are not fastened to the slab at all. If your home sits on a post-tension slab, nothing gets drilled or driven into the concrete either way, so the tension cables are never at risk. Where a slab needs grinding or filling to bring it flat, that is part of what we quote rather than something raised later.
Existing Floors
Refinishing, repair, and recoating.
On a long open run, a repair has to disappear, and that is the work.
Individual boards are replaced and matched on species, grade, and grain first, then stained to close what is left. Where a board will not blend into an unbroken run, a spot refinish or sanding the room brings everything to one tone rather than leaving a patch. Full sanding takes a floor back to bare wood and rebuilds the finish, and screening and recoating refreshes a worn finish without going to bare wood.
Stairs
Hardwood stairs, nosings, treads, and risers.
Treads and risers to match a floor that runs through the whole level.
We install hardwood nosings, treads, and risers, cut to match the floor in species, stain, and sheen so the two read as one surface, or contrasted where the stair should stand on its own. Carpeted stairs can be converted to wood, and stairs are measured on the same visit as the floors. More on our stair work.
Samples
The larger the floor, the more a full board helps.
Grain that looks subtle in the hand becomes the dominant pattern across a great room.
So small samples ship to your door free, and large sample boards come out to the house, several at a time, and stay with you. Lay them where the floor is going and look in daylight and again in the evening. The full range is in the showroom, a short drive west on the 101.

FAQ
Questions from Calabasas homeowners
What we get asked most before a job here.
Can hardwood be installed over a post-tension slab?
Yes, with engineered hardwood, either glued down or floated. Nothing is fastened into the concrete, so the tension cables are never at risk.
Do you supply the flooring or only install it?
Both. We supply it, deliver it, and install it, and the written estimate covers the wood and the work as separate lines.
My floor is discontinued and a few boards are damaged. What can you do?
We match on species, grade, and grain, then close the difference with stain. Where the repair will not blend into a long run, a spot refinish or sanding the room brings it all to one tone.
Do you carry wide plank and long-length boards?
Yes, in both solid and engineered construction, along with herringbone and chevron. Large sample boards can come out so you can see the width in the room.
Do you install hardwood stairs as well as floors?
Yes. We install hardwood nosings, treads, and risers, matched to the floor, and we convert carpeted stairs to wood.
Boards in the room before you commit.
Large samples brought out, the slab and the rooms measured, and a written estimate to follow. Call or text (818) 917-7736.
